For each new lead/customer inquiry, Slaask opens up a new Slack channel. Archiving a channel removes it from the list of active channels on Slack. Though the channel is no longer open for future activity, the history is stored for easy browsing and searching.
When a channel is archived:
It is closed for all team members who had the channel open
Team members can still browse the channel's entire history at any time
Messages from the archived channel will still appear in search results
You don't need to go through to trouble of archiving all of your Slaask channels yourself, no worries! When inactive for a period of time, Slaask channels are automatically archived by Slaask's smart algorithm. You can also close them manually thanks to the Slaask menu. When a channel is closed, it is archived by Slack. Think of Slack's algorithm as a built-in housekeeper, in charge of keeping your Slack as tidy as possible!
By default, Slaask does not work with archived channels. However, you can change this!
It's very simple to make Slaask work with archived channels. You just have to follow these steps:
Click Channels on Slack
Search for the archived channel on Slack
Click Join Channel to go into it
Click Channel Settings and select Invite team members to join
Invite Slaask (and if needed, any team members you'd like to join the channel). It's by inviting Slaask to join the channel that you'll get all of Slaask's capabilities back.
Effectively manage your conversations between your team and your interlocutors with communication settings.
