Google Analytics is a freemium web analytics service offered by Google that tracks and reports website traffic. It lets you measure your advertising ROI as well as track your Flash, video, and social networking sites and applications.
After integrating Google Analytics, Slaask will automatically send all of your events to your Google Analytics account. You will then be able to filter and analyze your leads and customers’ data according to their behavior.
Note: Events can only be sent to Google Analytics when the chatbox is deployed on a website. As long as the chatbox is not deployed, no Events will be sent to Google Analytics.
The Google Analytics integration logs several events to inform you of the following user activities:
when the chatbox is initialized
when the contact is initialized
when the chatbox is opened and closed
when a contact sends and receives messages
when a contact enters his/her e-mail address
when a contact receives and responds to a pre-chat qualification question
when a contact receives and responds to a survey
when a type of automated communication is displayed to the contact (e.g. tooltip, topbar, etc.)
when a contact booked a meeting from the chatbox UI or from the web UI
To connect Slaask and Google Analytics, you will need to provide:
Note: The Global Site Tag (gtag.js) also needs to appear on the page where the widget is deployed. We require the gtag.js version, not the old analytics.js.
Slaask already integrates the global site tag on your Slaask knowledge base page so you will already automatically receive the Events from your knowledge base by default.
Go to the Marketplace page from your Slaask account.
Select the tab Analytics and click on Google Analytics or search directly Google Analytics and click on it.
Click on Configure this app.
Enter your Google Analytics Tracker ID, then click Integrate.
Congrats! Your Google Analytics account has been successfully connected to Slaask.
